Small update

So it has been a while since I last posted something, but there is a very good reason for that, I had to try and earn some money to stay alive.... I think from next month I'll have to figure out how to link paypal to the site so I can receive donations to keep me going.

Anyway, on to other stuff, first of all, the weather, what the heck has been going on? I can't remember freezing my nipples off for this long before. It's really time that summer arrives so we can complain about the heat.

Next subject, I've never really been a huge fan of people and this job isn't helping me to get a more positive attitude at all. I feel like running to a small island (gonna be an issue since I can't walk on water) and just do my own thing, grow my own food, my own medicinal herbs and everything and just live off the land.

So this is all for today, I feel seriously sleepy and can't even think of a useless tip to leave you, so till the next time, be good or be good at it.

free writing experiment

You don't want to know the real me, the real me is totally weird and full of shit. Some would even say I'm a pompous ass when really I'm just so much better than the rest of the world.

But that brings up the question, am I really so much better or is it the rest of the world that's just not up to standard?

But speaking of standards and normal, what is normal really? Isn't normal just what everybody is doing and how they are? if thats the fact then i reject your reality and substitute it with my own fantasy where I always get the girl and always drive the cool car.

End of the world

Woohoo! According to some tomorrow is the end of the world, which makes me wonder what to wear? I can't show up with torn jeans, dirty boots and a tshirt, can I?

Another general rant with no direction

You know a persons car says a lot about themselves, the color tell people a lot about your personality, the general condition also says a lot. Some people get mad when I tell them people with white cars don't have any personality and people with silver cars are just plain the coolest there is, but it's not my fault it's all true?

I think the same can be said for one mobile phone, only sometimes you get people who don't want the newest, bestest iPhone or blackberry, just for the plain fact that EVERYBODY has one these days.

Anyway, just felt like I should share that with everybody.... Maybe one of these days I'll actually have something to write about, but till then, try not to catch the flu.

Damn, nearly a year, can you believe it?

Anyway, I believe the "little late" comment is a bad idea since it's more than just a little overdue for a new post.

Moving on to the subject for today, I can give you a heads up on my "new toy", the lenovo g550.... brilliant piece of kit and definitely worth every cent I paid for it.

Now, for more up to date stuff, I recently started at a new job, have to say it's tons of fun and really worth the effort to get up every morning. Now I hear you ask what could be so good about it? Well, let me tell you this, I get paid to work roughly 30 minutes everyday... I know, I know, sounds to good to be true, but let's take a look at the downside: my time isn't my own anymore, I can't just leave without letting somebody know and I have to be on time every day... but still, I'm selling mobile phones, so it's fun.

So, this is only a short post, just to let everybody know I'm still alive and all that and as usual I do have a very important tip: If you have a mobile phone worth a couple of bucks, never put it in your shirt pocket and go fishing, you WILL drop it in the water.

My new toy

Ok, got some good news for everybody, I got my new notebook up and running (yay!) and felt it would be appropriate to write something about it, so this is a bit of a technical blog for a change.

Right, so let's get this thing going, specs are as follows:
Lenovo G550
Dual Core Celeron (think it 2.6Ghz, but hey, who gives a damn?)
2GB Ram
250GB SATA drive

Currently I'm running Ubuntu ultimate on it and I have to say it performs a lot better than my old Acer 4223wmi used to, the only small issue I have is the keyboard, it's your typical IBM clicky type keyboard which I actually love, but I spent so much time on the soft touch keyboard on the Acer that it just feels weird.

Anyway, that's about as technical as I want to get these days, so back to my screwy old style... that is, if you can actualy call it style!

Have you ever wondered if the USA actually ever landed man on the moon or was it just a giant hoax? Think about it and feel free to comment if you want me to say anything about it.

So now, on to my usual tip of the day, if you like drinking tea while working on your notebook, never get it too close to the keyboard... unless you have a Lenovo with waterproof keyboard, but still, it is a bad idea!

I really hope you find this tip usefull, for some of you it may be a bit too late, but hey, it's common sense.

Back again

Ok, ok, I know it's been a while since my last blog post, but hey, what can I say? It's been a busy time and to be honest I didn't really have anything to write about.

So, you may be asking what's been happening in my life since my last post, to be honest, not much actually... I mean, sure, I became an uncle again, I started training one of my dogs, working on the farm and helping old clients with issues and that's about all there is. I know what you're thinking, boy, this guy has one BORING life! And I totally agree with you! My life has always been like this and to be honest, I kinda like it this way, thank you very much. Now, I challenge you to take a long, hard look at your own life and let's see how exciting it is...

Anyway, back to the post at hand and the way I currently feel and the way I think this country is going with all this soccer nonsense... Personally I think this country is going to be more screwed up after the soccer, sure, a couple of folks will make some money, but let's be honest, do our hospitals have the experience, funding and equipment to deal with any major issues? I think the world will see a different side of SA with the soccer, I think they will finally realise that this country is going to shit.

Now on to another issue I feel pretty strongly about, the current politacal climate is getting interesting and I can't help wondering why the ANCYL has to go for military training, I mean, who are they going to fight and why? I'll just leave it at that, before everybody starts shouting at me and accusing me of being politically incorrect.

Moving on with the program we find ourselves on the subject of.... who knows? Maybe you should comment and give me a topic to write about, challenge me... if you dare!

Oh, almost forgot my usual tips and tricks. I thought long and hard about this tip and I have to say, it really is usefull and since I'm in such a good mood I'm going to give you two tips today, first tip: when taking a leak, always face downwind and tip number two: when preparing chicken, make sure to tie its legs before chopping off the head.
